They promote industry career opportunities, support firms in their apprenticeship offer and match quality-checked training providers to the precise CPD needs of businesses and their people.
As industry-led experts on skills, they act as an influential advocate to the sector throughout the UK on relevant skills policy.
The organisation had undertaken a Skills & Labour Market Insights project in previous years.
The Brief
lookout was commissioned to undertake research that would provide an up-to-date picture and provide insights into the current sector landscape in respect of a wide range of topics, including, but not limited to:

Outcomes
There were a number of deliverables including:
- comprehensive secondary research activity to generate key sector information and insights
- qualitative interviews were conducted with a number of the clients’ members to provide additional depth and insight
- preparation and provision of a number of dashboards to facilitate and summarise findings for key stakeholder groups
- provision of analysis on data gathered by the client through its Apprenticeship Survey

The final insights report was used to:
- Inform the client’s decision making as an organisation
- Facilitate engagement with its membership, stakeholders and the sector more generally
- Position the client as the Subject Matter Expert and Thought Leader on skills in the food and drink sector
